# Connect and use LinkedIn Ads

> Connect LinkedIn Ads to Nerve, confirm the correct account or property, and start with a scoped read-only request before broader analysis.

Connect LinkedIn Ads to inspect B2B advertising accounts and analyze campaign, campaign-group, creative, or demographic performance where tools are available.

## Before you connect

Use a LinkedIn identity with access to the intended advertising account. Choose the account, reporting period, and conversion goal before requesting an analysis.

## Connect and verify

1. In the intended workspace, open **Get started > Connect accounts** and find **LinkedIn Ads**.
2. Choose **Connect**. If the Pipedream introduction opens, review it before choosing **Continue**.
3. Complete the provider sign-in and permission screens for the intended advertising account.
4. Return to Nerve and check the connection status. Use **Verify** if available.
5. Ask your assistant to list accessible LinkedIn advertising accounts, then confirm the one to use.

## What to ask Nerve

Live discovery exposes advertising-account listing and campaign, campaign-group, creative, and demographic analytics. Start with campaign totals, then request a supported demographic breakdown. Ask which dimensions and metrics are available instead of assuming every LinkedIn interface report is exposed.

```text theme={null}
For LinkedIn Ads account Example Brand, show campaign spend, clicks,
and available conversions for the last 7 complete days. Then check
which demographic breakdowns are available. Identify local currency
and any suppressed segments. Do not change campaigns.
```

## Check scope and limits

The inspected demographic schema describes privacy suppression for small segments. A demographic table can therefore have different totals from a campaign report. Keep costs in their stated local currency unless you explicitly request and verify a conversion method. LinkedIn was not listed in the workflow source form inspected; check availability in your workflow before planning automation.
