# Connect Nerve to Claude

> Add Nerve as a remote connector in Claude, authorize your Nerve account, and confirm the intended marketing accounts with a read-only request.

Connect Nerve to Claude when you want to analyze connected marketing data from a Claude conversation. Connect at least one marketing platform in Nerve first.

## Add the connector

1. Open Claude and go to **Customize > Connectors**.

2. For a personal account, choose **+ Add > Add custom connector**. Name it **Nerve** and enter this server URL:

   ```text theme={null}
   https://mcp.nerve.mattemena.com/mcp
   ```

3. Continue through the authentication setup using Nerve's sign-in flow. Complete authorization with the intended Nerve identity and check any workspace information shown.

4. If your organization manages connectors, ask its administrator to add Nerve first, then connect your own account from the available connector list.

These navigation paths follow [Claude's custom-connector guidance](https://support.claude.com/en/articles/11175166-get-started-with-custom-connectors-using-remote-mcp). Older Nerve screens may refer to **Settings > Connectors**.

## Confirm a useful connection

Open a conversation with Nerve available and ask:

```text theme={null}
Use Nerve to check my connected platforms and list the accessible
Meta ad accounts. Identify which Example Brand account you can use.
Do not change anything.
```

Review the tool request and allow the read when appropriate. Confirm the account list matches your intended client before requesting performance data. A connector appearing in the list is not by itself proof that every marketing account is accessible.

## If tools do not appear

Check that Nerve is connected and available in the conversation. Inspect connector tool permissions, and confirm your organization allows it. If the returned accounts differ from your browser workspace, follow [workspace and access checks](https://docs.nerve.mattemena.com/external-ai/workspace-and-access.md).

For tool-approval prompts, see [Understand tool requests](https://docs.nerve.mattemena.com/external-ai/tool-permissions.md). For Claude Code and its packaged skills, use the [plugin installation guide](https://docs.nerve.mattemena.com/external-ai/claude-code.md).
