# Fix AI connection and missing-account problems

> Diagnose disabled tools, unfinished authorization, wrong account scope, expired access, empty results, and billing blocks without repeatedly reconnecting.

Start with the smallest failing step: assistant connection, platform authorization, account lookup, or data retrieval. Reconnecting everything at once makes the cause harder to identify.

## Find the failing step

| Symptom | Check first |
| - | - |
| No Nerve tools in the assistant | Nerve is connected, installed where required, and selected for the conversation. Check organization restrictions. |
| Authorization keeps opening or never finishes | Correct production URL, intended Nerve identity, and any blocked or unfinished provider window. |
| Platform connection is expired or revoked | Reconnect that platform and verify it. |
| Connected login but account is missing | List actual accounts/properties and confirm provider permissions and client context. |
| Accounts differ from your browser workspace | Inspect external authorization context before analyzing a client. |
| Chat says select accounts | Apply at least one account in the Nerve AI picker. |
| A report returns zero rows | Check dates, status filters, account, pagination, and whether a request failed. |
| Analytics is empty | Create an advertiser group with supported accounts. |
| Plan or payment card appears instead of data | Inspect the workspace's billing state and follow its displayed recovery action. |

## Make a diagnostic request

```text theme={null}
Diagnose Nerve access without changing anything. Check the connection,
then list the actual accessible accounts or properties for Google Ads.
Confirm whether Example Brand is present. If a request fails, report
its error and scope. Distinguish an empty list from an access failure.
Do not modify connections, settings, or campaigns.
```

For Radius or another specialist integration, name the platform explicitly and ask for its own connection lookup. A general connection summary may not expose every integration.

## Retry narrowly

After fixing a connection or permission issue, retry the account lookup first, then a small read. Do not rerun a workflow containing writes or email until you know which steps previously completed.

If the problem persists, send support the experience used, platform, workspace, exact dates, error text, and failed step. Crop screenshots to exclude identities, account IDs, tokens, and client performance. See [Contact support](https://docs.nerve.mattemena.com/support-and-privacy/contact-support.md).
