# Manage multiple workspaces and client access

> Organize teams and clients across Nerve workspaces, review membership and billing in each, and check external AI context before switching client work.

Use workspaces to organize separate client or team working areas. Check connections, membership, workflows, and billing in each workspace rather than assuming another workspace's setup applies.

## Set up a client working area

1. [Create or select the workspace](https://docs.nerve.mattemena.com/start-here/workspaces.md) for the client.
2. Use a name that makes the client easy to identify.
3. Connect the platform identities and accounts required for that client's work.
4. Invite only the people who need access and choose their roles.
5. Review advertiser groups, workflow sources, email destinations, and billing before beginning routine work.

A provider identity may itself access several clients. Review the accounts it exposes before inviting someone who should only see one client. Naming a workspace after a client does not by itself narrow the underlying provider identity's permissions.

## Switch clients deliberately

Open the workspace switcher, choose the intended workspace, and confirm its name. Check the account selection in a new or reopened Nerve AI chat. For workflows, inspect saved sources and destinations.

Claude or ChatGPT can have an existing Nerve authorization that differs from the browser's current context. [Verify the external account list](https://docs.nerve.mattemena.com/external-ai/workspace-and-access.md) before continuing client work there.

## Review team access

A person can have a different role in each workspace. Check the membership list in each relevant workspace when responsibilities change. For access-sensitive arrangements, verify the external connector restrictions with support rather than relying on a prompt instruction as an access boundary.

## Rename, delete, or transfer ownership

If you cannot find a self-service control for the workspace change you need, contact [Nerve support](https://docs.nerve.mattemena.com/support-and-privacy/contact-support.md) with the workspace name and the requested outcome. Account deletion in your personal profile is a different operation from deleting or transferring a workspace. Confirm the effects on collaborators, billing, and connected data before proceeding.
