# Manage passwords, devices, and account deletion

> Find personal account security settings, review password and device controls, and understand what to check before using the account-deletion action.

Open your personal security settings to manage sign-in and sessions. These settings are separate from workspace roles and advertising-platform authorization.

## Open Security

Click your avatar, choose **Manage account**, and open **Security**. The inspected panel includes a password section, active-device/session information, and **Delete account**.

## Set or recover a password

If the panel shows **Set password**, follow that flow and complete the identity verification requested. For an existing password, use the available password-change control. If you cannot sign in, use the [password recovery instructions](https://docs.nerve.mattemena.com/start-here/sign-in.md) instead.

Your Nerve password is separate from Google sign-in and the credentials used to authorize advertising platforms. Do not send any password or verification code to support.

## Review active devices

Inspect the sessions shown and use the available session-management menu when you need to address an unfamiliar session. Read its confirmation and check the resulting device list. Device information can include private location or network details, so crop it out of screenshots you share.

Signing out of Nerve should not be treated as a substitute for reviewing external assistant access. Manage those connections separately in [workspace and AI access](https://docs.nerve.mattemena.com/external-ai/workspace-and-access.md).

## Before deleting your account

The **Delete account** control concerns your personal account. Before using it, confirm the effects on owned workspaces, collaborators, active subscriptions, connected platforms, stored history, and external authorizations with support.

Download any needed reports and resolve workspace ownership and billing first. Do not use account deletion merely to leave one workspace or remove a platform connection; use the relevant membership or connection process for that task.
