Use the Nerve plugin in ChatGPT to work with your connected marketing platforms. First connect a platform in Nerve and confirm that your ChatGPT account or organization permits custom MCP plugins.

Add and install Nerve

  1. In ChatGPT on the web, open Plugins, choose the plus button, then Add custom MCP server.
  2. Name it Nerve. Set Connection to Server URL and enter:
  3. Use OAuth authentication and complete Nerve sign-in with the intended identity.
  4. Review the warning, acknowledge it if you want to continue, and choose Create as a plugin.
  5. Find Nerve in your personal or workspace plugins and install it.
  6. In a conversation, type @ and select the installed Nerve plugin.
These steps follow OpenAI’s custom MCP server guide. Availability and organization policies can affect the options shown. If the add option is missing, check with your ChatGPT administrator.

Test account access

Inspect the tool request and resulting account list. Then try a small report for that specific account and period. If ChatGPT gives a general answer without retrieving data, confirm that the Nerve plugin was selected and its tools are available.

If the connection is incomplete

Check the production server URL, finish any open authorization window, and confirm the Nerve identity used. A browser workspace switch does not establish that ChatGPT’s authorization switched too. Use workspace and access checks before working on a different client.
