A useful report explains results against a goal and shows where its numbers came from. Specify the account scope and period before asking for a weekly or monthly summary.

Define the report

Choose the accounts or advertiser group, calendar dates, timezone, business result, comparison period, and output format. Use complete days for routine comparisons unless you intentionally need an in-progress update.
For a monthly report, replace the periods with the last complete calendar month and the comparison month. State whether a change is an absolute difference, a percentage change, or a percentage-point change.

Review before sharing

  1. Confirm the accounts and exact dates.
  2. Check whether every source loaded and whether lists were complete.
  3. Verify currencies and conversion definitions.
  4. Check that recommendations follow from the reported evidence.
  5. Open and review any generated file, then save a copy.
Use generated files for preview and download instructions. If a metric is unavailable, show it as unavailable rather than silently replacing it with zero.

Make it repeatable

Save the instructions in a Reporting workflow. Test the output manually, review destination recipients, then set a schedule. Sending a report by email is a separate configured action from generating it in chat.
